Rare Reflections

Perfectly at peace
Surrounded by the cities familiar hum
Warmed under partly cloudy cascadia skies
Observing fluid ballerinas in cotton-poly blended layers
Children’s laughter mingles with professional tones on lunch breaks
If only serene days such as this were more possible to achieve, at a more frequent rate

Unfortunately, there has not been much time to create new posts in this past year. Between an extensive work schedule, entertaining our now 2 year old daughter and attempting to maintain a marriage there has not been much time left to simply sit. Hopefully this will become possible more frequently with preschool quickly approaching. Not only am I shocked by the process of entering a preschool (applying, tuition, etc.) but simply observing how different my daughter is at this moment. She is so independent, clever and quite fun to spend time with now but also even more exhausting. So much has occurred in these past couple years in four unique neighborhoods of Portland! Either this location or the next will be our last move for at least the next few years. Now to find new material to wrap my thoughts around and time to attempt explaining most of it.
